Cork County B’s Cross Country Championships 14th November 2021

In the spirit of cross country, traffic delays and cars stuck in the mud were not the ideal start to the day. The important part of the day got underway slightly later than expected but the performances from all the athletes lifted the spirits at the Cork County B championships. In the Boys U9, Gearoid Heffernan (5th), Josh Miller (8th), Jack Linehan (12th) & Jack Linehan (16th) claimed team Gold. Another team gold for the U11 boys of Harry Browne (8th), Patrick Bourke (9th), Cian Murphy (10th) & Robbie McAuliffe (11th). In the Girls U15, Eimear Barrett (9th), Niamh Lavery (10th) & Eimile Browne (10th) delivered a great performance to claim team Gold. Eimear Lavery delivered a great performance finishing 2nd and claiming silver in the U17 event. Finally, our two adult entrants in the Mens Masters, Michael Herlihy and Michael McMahon finished in 4th and 6th respectively.

Well done to everyone.
